DOFUS est un jeu de rôle en ligne massivement multijoueur. Étant un mélange de jeu vidéo et de dessin animé animé interactif, DOFUS apporte un nouveau concept dans les jeux en ligne.
Depuis la disparition précieuse de DOFUS, la province d'Amakna est en pleine tourmente mais pas sans raison ! En effet, les pouvoirs extraordinaires contenus dans ces œufs de dragon magiques commencent à susciter les plus grandes convoitises, et les villes de Bonta et Brakmar sont déjà en train de se confronter. Pourtant, une menace encore plus redoutable semble planer sur Amakna. Des créatures étranges apparaissent soudainement dans une flore et une faune déjà luxuriantes, et des terres apparaissent à des endroits où il n'y avait absolument rien. Mais, peu importe d'où elles viennent, leurs motifs ou les événements en cours, tous les aventuriers ont un seul but : mettre la main sur les six précieux DOFUS.

Amélioration des zones d'Incarnam et d'Astrub :
- La zone d'Incarnam a été entièrement retravaillée graphiquement. De nouveaux éléments d'arrière-plan amélioreront l'apparence de cette zone et soutiendront ses quêtes. De nouveaux éléments interactifs sont ajoutés pour permettre un accès facile à l'histoire de Dofus.
- Certaines quêtes d'Incarnam et d'Astrub sont révisées et d'autres sont ajoutées pour améliorer l'expérience de jeu des nouveaux joueurs et leur faciliter l'exploration du jeu.
- Le coût des Zaaps à Incarnam est réduit.

Very fun game if you're willing to be truly social. It gets boring playing solo, so you will need to make friends to get the most out of it. The Flash-based engine works surprisingly well, the world is really creative and the I think the subject matter is perfect for KIDS and ADULTS. This isn't just a kids game, just because the graphics are cute as all get out. It's also French, so some U.S. sensibilities my be put off by what is considered "kid friendly" between to the two cultures. Personally, I like the mix of cute, freaky and wild. It's all in fun.

Decent game, if you understand that you will be a doubly second class citizen. The majority of their servers (and income) are based on their French population, and as such communication, support and features come to them first.
That said, it is still perfectly playable in English, and there are separate servers for English, German, Spanish and Portuguese speakers. This is a subscription-based game that costs about $7/month for full content, but can be played with limitations without a subscription for any length of time.
The game uses Flash, so running it in a flash player or in a web browser works fine. There is a little wizardry involved in getting Dofus to run the first time on a mac; SANS DIEU RIEN explained how in his post.

After immersing myself into the game, and recommending it to several of my students at school, I was shocked to discover innuendoes, and childish artifacts relating to genitals. I quickly contacted their parents and told them that I personally can no longer recommend Dofus. Hey, I'm a teacher-my integrity is on the line! I contacted the makers of Dofus, and posted on their forums. They were courteous in their reply, but felt that "it added a sense of humor, characteristic of the game." It appears Dofus was created by lonely, frustrated programmers.

Got it working! This is what I did, and I don't know if it's Kosher, but it works! You need Flash Player to play (I had to download the latest version). I couldn't find an .exe file for Dofus, so I clicked on Dofus.html (you may have to do a computer search for the file). If the Dofus screen says that your Flash Player won't allow Dofus, then you have to go to www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/security/ and adjust your 'global security' via the site! Scroll down a bit on the page where you see the link, "How do I let local Flash content communicate with the Internet?" Keep following the links two-tier deep and you should see a screen that is actually what's on your Flash Player-something like this: www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html#117502

I'm with Syzzygy, here. What a pain! They should really make it clear that you need Flash Player. I did that, but still couldn't find the file to launch it. Under support, they say, "The current downloads aren't working as we hoped for. Try..." I had to trash the old one, and am currently d/l the new. So now I'm downloading that, yet it takes forever: 1/2 hour. Must be so many are d/l all at once!
BTW, how much is membership?
